Ok. So we don’t have sponsors in the true sense of the word. BUT, there are a couple of companies who are rad enough to send us products that we love despite the ridiculous difficulty of getting items to a couple of vagabonds with inconsistent Caribbean post office addresses. If you are interested in adding your company to this list, we’ll happily accept it and put your products through the paces!

Anyone who has watched our videos from the beginning knows that our fishing game has come a LONG way since we started. At first, we caught a bonito and a few barracuda. But once we upgraded our reels and started to learn a little about lures and techniques, everything changed. Skabenga lures was also incredibly helpful with the learning curve. I found out about Skabenga lures while watching a couple of YouTube fishing tutorials and started bombarding them with questions. The team there was super helpful (and patient) and taught me how to fish the 100 fathom line and how to deploy a teaser on a monohull. Now, we catch marlin under sail and can proudly call ourselves part of Team Skabenga! For more information on Skabenga, please visit www.skabengalures.com (and to get 20% off, use Promo code RUM)
Mantus Ancors
Our 45 pound Mantus Anchor is the single best piece of equipment on the boat. We spent over 250 days at anchor since we installed her and have never dragged once. She digs deep and sticks in every bottom type we’ve we’ve encountered except loose dead coral rubble, for which I don’t believe any anchor will work.
Sport-a-Seat watched us sitting on bare fiberglass one too many times and kindly sent us one of their portable, oh-so-comfortable seats to rest our weary bottoms on. Ahh. These seats are great. They store flat, but are adjustable in 7 different back angle settings. We use our seat while underway, for more comfort during sundowners, and for sitting on the bow fishing, stargazing, and more cocktails. If you have a boat, you should probably also have at least one of these too. Only downsides are that Will finds the seat just a bit too short for his 6 foot frame and the mechanism for keeping our seat flat is very sensitive, so it wants to store at a slight angle.
