It has finally arrived, our last few days in the Bahamas. This part of the trip began my emotional rollercoaster (that culminated in my wallowing in self-pity blog post about selling our boat).
But before tears can be shed, we had to go fishing. The Bahamas have some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world, and we were lucky enough to catch something exciting. When we first started fishing, I never had any desire to catch a bill fish. Why would I want to fight something that might be my size or bigger? Now that I’ve had a taste, however, I’m HOOKED. We are pretty sure that this fish was a small white Marlin. Hopefully someday I’ll get to see what catching a blue Marlin feels like.
Special thanks to Skabenga Lures for sending us a load of great new tackle (although for full disclosure, the Marlin was caught on our old, trusty, cedar plug). You can find lots of great fishing info on their website and if you’re in the market for new lures, you can use the Promo Code RUM to get 20% off your purchase: www.skabengalures.com
Hope you enjoy!
